Hello wonderful art patrons!
|
Is it just me, or has August lasted forever this year? I've certainly had a packed month. One highlight for me was the Backyard Art Show I did with my friends David Roswell Pottery and October Forever. It was so fun to hang out with my customers, and exhibit my prints alongside two colleagues whose work I really admire. Thanks for everyone who stopped by and made this event so special.
In web news, Etsy is making some big changes site wide, and I will no longer be able offer a local pickup option through my Etsy shop. The good news is, free local pickup is now available on www.newsouthpatternhouse.com as an option at checkout. I'm also running a sale this month: 15% off Black and White
(large prints,) which is automatically applied at your cart. Click here to shop eligible prints. (Sale ends 9/30!)
I've got a whole host of new events coming up, plus some fresh new prints to share, so read on!

What's New: Durham Skyline, and Peaches
I've got a new Durham Skyline print in the shop, and I think it's my favorite skyline to date! This is an edition of 90 prints and it's selling fast, so now's a good time to snag some early holiday gifts for your Bull City friends :). Click here to shop this print.
The other newest edition to my shop is this "Peaches in the Summertime" print. (Click above for process video.) The title for this piece was taken from he folk song "Shady Grove," and I hum a little tune each time I see it! Click Here to shop these peaches.
Spotlight: Blue Luna Moths
I was hoping to have these Artist Proofs ready in time for the backyard art show, but they took forever to dry! I have 14 of these beautiful blue artist proofs from my Luna moth block-- and-- because I limit each block to under 100 imprints sold-- these will be the last blue
ones I'll ever make. Click here to reserve yours!

I got a surprise this week when walking my dog down by the creek. This vibrant clump of cardinal flower was growing along one of the paths! This has got to be one of my favorite NC wildflowers-- and the hummingbirds agree with me! Click here to see the cardinal flower in my midcentury botanical collection.
