Studio Update, February 2021

I've had a really productive last few weeks in the studio, carving and printing several new pieces. I have some brand new bookmarks to share--- Inspired by my childhood in western north carolina. " The Great Smoky Mountains"
bookmarks are now dry and ready to ship out as tiny pieces of original art to the booklovers in your lives. I'm continuing to improve on my bookmark design, and have added an archival backing board that is rigid enough to give great stiffness, while still keeping a slim profile. These are now available as wholesale items, so if you know of a great bookstore who should be carrying these items, let me know!

Teacher Support:
I just carved a new block this week as a valentine's gift for my daughter's amazing teachers. Shhh! It's a surprise for them! It's called "Life of the Mind," and I think it would be a great class gift for the teachers in your lives as well. I offer this as a 9x9 inch print, and also have a "ready to frame" version with a custom cut archival mat that fits into a standard 12 x12 frame. As a reminder, we're still also in the middle of a month-long fundraiser for the " teaching hard history initiative" from Carolina K-12, so if you love educators, this is a great time to stock up on your favorite prints. |
| | "Hummingbird and Honeysuckle" is a 5x7 mini print, featuring a ruby throated hummingbird amongst native coral honeysuckle. (Note, the print features a female hummingbird, but I can make you an artist proof with the characteristic bright red
throat of the male!)

| | I also recently carved this "chickadee sunrise" print. The chickadees at my feeders were just too beautiful to pass up. Shown here in copper, I also offer this print in bronze.
