Hi Friends,

Here at the studio this February we've been cozied up watching the snow come down in the forest, juggling childcare through the many snow days, and stocking up on prints for the upcoming festival season.

In this newsletter, I'll let you know what prints are back in stock, where to find us in person over the next few weeks, and share some pics of the yellow rumped warbler that's been terrorizing our bird feeders.

I've been taking the month to get caught up on prints that have been out of stock for a long time.  Check the website to see a full list of everything in stock, but here's a few of our favorites:

This Yellow-Rumped Warbler is an absolute menace. 

Meet Rumpy.  Chilly temperatures this month have brought many birds to our feeder, but none of them have been quite as much fun to watch as this yellow-rumped warbler, who my kids named "Rumpy."  

Rumpy is the undisputed tyrant of our backyard. This tiny warbler will guard the feeder and divebomb anyone who gets too close. The pine warblers tremble in fear at the sight of her. The chickadees flee at the sound of her call. Up until this year, I hadn't paid much attention to this little gray bird, which is a winter visitor to the carolinas. But the bright flashes of yellow and the big personality has me thinking maybe I should immortalize Rumpy in a block print? What do y'all think?

I'm definitely going to be exploring what plants I can incorporate into my yard to encourage Rumpy to keep coming back each winter.

NEW on the New South Pattern House blog, I interview NSPH client Theresa Rizzuto, who recently transformed this antique hutch using one of my wallpaper patterns. The result looks fabulous, and she recorded a really fun install video for us as well. 

I am so grateful to have a community of people in my life who support artists and share my love of place and nature. Thank you for supporting my work.
