Hi Y'all! Thank you to everyone who came out to our Open Studio Event! We had an AMAZING time. If you couldn't make it to this year's event, check out this video recap to see what we were up to. November is in full swing here in the studio, and I have so many exciting things to share with you. I have an adorable NEW
Chickadee mini-print for y'all to pre-order, and a whole slew of upcoming Holiday markets. Also, I want to tell you about my recent feature in Our State Magazine!!
Finally, I'm making a plan to give back on Giving Tuesday. I'll tell you where I'm donating and why it's important to me.

What's New: Redbud and Chickadee
In March of 2024, I carved a piece called " Chickadee in the Redbud Tree" which y'all absolutely loved. Half of the edition
sold out through pre-orders, and the rest were quickly snatched up at festivals. One of the most common questions we were asked at our Open Studio event was "do you have any more of the chickadee prints?" I'm sorry! Because my block prints are limited edition, I wont be making any more imprints from this carving.
But, because I love y'all, and I know some folks really had their hearts set on this piece, I took some time this month to see if I could recreate the magic, and create a sister print for this month's print release.
This newest piece is called "Redbud and Chickadee" incorporates the same ink colors, style and subject matter as the first print, but I took another angle on all the elements, to create a print that is not quite symmetrical, but is complimentary to the first. I'm
offering it as this month's print release, and I hope it will allow for some fun hoilday gift surprises. This will be a limited edition of 90 prints, hand block-printed onto sustainably forested, archival papers, using NC made inks. I'm giving my email subscribers the first chance to preorder these chickadee prints
before I bring them to my holiday markets. I'll be reserving prints in the order that folks email me, so let me know if you want reserve one! I'm limiting the pre-orders to 2 prints per customer, so more folks can have a shot at snagging this little cutie! "Redbud and Chickadee"-Limited edition of 90 prints. Cost: $36, Size, 8x10. *sizes include custom, acid free matboard.

Get Involved: Giving Tuesday
At New South Pattern House, we're making a plan to donate over $1300 on "Giving Tuesday" which is taking place on December 2, 2024. Here's who we're planning to support: The Red Wolf Wildlife Crossing Fund- This coalition is leveraging a 2 million dollar matching pledge to raise money for safe road crossings on highway 64. Click here for more info on how to save the only wild population of this endangered species-which lives on the Alligator
River National Wildlife Refuge in Eastern NC. The Museum of Life and Science- Here in the NC triangle, my family is so lucky to have access to this incredible institution. They are part of the Red Wolf Saving Animals From Extinction (“SAFE”) Program, and since 1993, 23 red wolf pups have
been born at the museum-- an essential part of the genetic diversity needed to save this species. Click here for more info. Farmer Foodshare- Farmer Foodshare is a
triangle based food hub that helps to leverage fresh local food into our grocery stores and public schools, and also into the emergency food system. Click here for more info. If you're financially able to do so, I
hope you'll join us in supporting organizations whose work you admire on this important day of giving!
Thank you so much for taking the time to check in with me! As we look ahead to the holidays, thanks for all the way y'all show up to support artists in your community. We couldn't do this without you! Katie
