Hi Y'all,

I've never been so excited to update you on what's been going on in my studio! As you may remember, this spring I added a giant new Conrad printmaking press to my setup, and with your help, we named her Shirley. 

I've just completed my largest piece ever with the help of Shirley, featuring the critically endangered American Red Wolf. In this newsletter, I'll tell you more about the time I've put into this piece, the significance of the edition numbers, and how your preorders will raise money to help save this animal. 

I'll also walk you through the events we'll be working over the next month. Come by and see us and take a peek at the new large piece in person!

Above: There are only 17 adult red wolves left in the wild. This photo was taken at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC where Red Wolves are part of a breeding program to save the species. To read more about the history and current status of the red wolves, click here.

• 24x36- These are the dimensions of the finished piece. It's the largest block of linoleum I've ever carved!
• 17- This is the number of prints that will be part of this edition. It's inspired by the number of known red wolves currently living in the wild. 
• 5- This is the number of editions I plan to make from this carving.  It represents the number of Red Wolves killed by vehicles in approximately the past year. Each edition will have a different colorway, and each will consist of 17 prints total. 
• 20- this is the number of hours I spent simply sketching the design for this massive print. (I didn't track the carving time-- but it took about a week.) 
• 10- This is the number of clean prints I've been able to pull so far. I'm donating the first print of this edition to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, so that means I have 9 prints available for pre-order today.
• 20%- This is the percentage of each sale I will donate to red wolf conservation.

*note- These numbers are changing constantly-- so these stats were the most current I could find when I created this piece in the summer of 2024.

Eco Stationery:

I've been working to expand my line of Eco Stationery beyond gift wrap and notecards, to include other products such as journals. I'm still moving this project along and hoping to have some products to share with y'all this fall/winter. I'm also working on a red wolf pattern that will be part of this line!
