Carolina Wrens are some of the cutest birds around, and pink dogwoods are an iconic botanical for springtime in the south. I timed this print release to coincide with mother's day because I've always admired the Carolina Wren's ability to build a home just about anywhere. (If you've ever had one of these cuties build a nest in an old
flowerpot, overturned rain boot, or other unlikely nesting spot in your yard, you know what I'm talking about!)
I loved making this piece-- especially doing the gradient work on the flowers and bird, and I'm really pleased with how the long, narrow shape turned out. It was quite a time consuming piece to make, and I have 13
prints available from my first print run for preorder. It mats up beautifully to a 13x19 size, or-- if you need to fill a bigger space-- looks fantastic in a 16x24 matboard as well. Let me know in the email which size matboard you need. As usual,
I'm offering this for preorder to my email subscribers before offering for sale at events and on my website starting on 4/27!
