Hi Y'all!

I've been taking some time these past few weeks to recharge after summer festivals and focus on making new work. I'm also really leaning into spending some time with my family as I get ready to celebrate my (40th!) birthday next month. I've got a fun new mini print to share with you, as well as some great upcoming events, and some exciting footage of visitors to my woods :)

What's New: American Robin Mini Print

This mini print features an American Robin perched amidst fruiting elderberries. I had a really fun day in the studio this week bringing this little bird to life. I've got about 20 of these prints in stock, and I plan to make 90 of them total. I'm giving my email subscribers the first chance to buy these prints before I make them available for sale to the general public (on Monday, October 2nd.) I'll be reserving prints in the order that folks email me, so click below and let me know if you'd like to pre-order one!

A Walk in the Woods:

We recently became a certified Wildlife Habitat through the NC wildlife Federation

The Otters are back! We had a hot dry end to summer here in Hillsborough, and I was sad to see our creek nearly dry up completely. I kept thinking of the beautiful wood ducks, turtles, fish, and river otters and wondering how our wildlife would recover from such a blow. This morning, while out on my usual walk, I saw some movement down by the bridge, and went to investigate the ripples. A whole family of river otters were playing right below me. This was only my second encounter with wild otters on my land-- I first saw them back in July. I feel so lucky to have had this experience with them, and it strengthened my love for the woods, and my desire to protect wetland habits.
