What's New: Pine Warbler and Loblolly Pine |
My print release this month is a little different. The print above was actually commissioned by the Ackland Art Museum to celebrate their recent giving campaign. I was so honored to create this block for them, and to do a 50 print black and white edition of this print, which features a native Pine Warbler in the Loblolly pines. I'm still deciding on how I want to full color version of these prints to look, but-- in the meantime-- I made a few of these rich, dark green monochromatic artist proofs for y'all, and I LOVE how they turned out. I'll be reserving prints in the order that folks email me, and I only made 9 of them, so let me know ASAP if you'd like to pre-order one! "Pine Warbler in the Loblolly Pine"- Dark Green Artist Proofs. Cost: $29 Size, 8x10. *sizes include custom, acid free
matboard. Here's me, just after dropping these prints off at the Ackland. As a UNC alum, this was such a proud moment for
me. Let's kick this summer off with a sale on block prints! Enjoy 10% off some of my favorite new prints, along with a few oldies-but-goldies as well! The woods that surround my home/studio are teeming with wildlife this time of year, but the one I'm most excited to look for every morning is this little cutie. The muskrat that lives in the creek behind my house is named "Chubbs McRattyface," (my kids named him that last year,) and I'm obsessed with him. Recently, I completed a new wallpaper design inspired by the Eno River State Park, and I couldn't resist adding
my little muskrat friend to the mix. See if you can spot him, along with all the other native species such as trout lily, jack-in-the-pulpit, luna moths, pickerel frogs, and mountain laurels that I put into this pattern.
