What's New: Cardinal and Mulberry
If you've been looking to add a splash of red to your home decor, this bright little bird just might be for you! This Cardinal print is a great example of the "puzzle piece" printmaking techniques that I often use to create my work. It features a male cardinal in a native red mulberry tree.
I'm giving my email subscribers the first chance to buy the print, titled "Cardinal and Mulberry" before I make it available for sale to the general public (on Thursday, May 19th.) I'll be reserving prints in the order that folks email me, so click here if you want to try and snag the first print in this edition! :)

A Walk in the Woods: Katie's Trail Camera
We live near a little creek in the woods outside of Hillsborough, NC, and it's a favorite spot for my family to hang out on a hot summer day. We recently installed a trail camera down by the water, and were blown away by the amount of wildlife that visits this spot. We captured footage of a barred owl, raccoons, crows, and a plucky little muskrat my kids named
"Chubbs McRattyface." There was also a LOT of footage of our neighborhood heron. I love the pic above, not just because the deer and heron are sharing the pool at dusk, but because of the amount of personality coming through from that gorgeous bird. This is why I can't stop illustrating
herons!
I've really loved seeing so many of you at events these last few weeks. Thanks for following along, and allowing my work to be part of your homes. I appreciate you!
